Room 4,
I hope you had a wonderful break! I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful gift! Nick and I have already used some of the Lowe's gift card on a few house projects over the break.  We are saving the Sushi gift card for a special occasion.  Thank you to everyone who made our party so special especially our room moms, Michal and Nadia.  I appreciate you all taking time to come in and celebrate with us.  We had an amazing first day back! I have a feeling 2019 is going to be a great year for us all!
Mrs. Baker
Yesterday was such a great day.  Your students wrote thank you notes to the Ventura County Fire Department for their help saving our school and homes during the fires.  They came to visit us at school to tell us all about what they do and they even let us crawl through the fire truck!
Thank you to all who have donated! Break out those crazy socks! We are having crazy sock day tomorrow, November 6th!

Thank you to all that are pledging for the APEX Fun Run! We are up to $20/lap so we earned Crazy Hair & Hat Day tomorrow, November 2nd.

This is a reminder that on October 26th the first grade classes will be going to the pumpkin patch. We are visiting McGrath Family Farms in Camarillo. We will leave school around 9:00 and will be returning around 11:30a.m.  Students who are buying can still purchase their lunch for we will be back from the pumpkin patch for lunch.

If you are a driver please arrive at school at 8:45 and park your car along the curb next to the office.

Students will need to bring booster seats if they are not riding with their parents.

The field trip uniform is the MATES blue collar shirt and black bottoms. The bottoms can be skorts, shorts or black pants. Be sure your child wears tennis shoes for we will be walking in dirt and uneven ground.

It is going to be a wonderful trip!
Today was an amazing day!
Our class filled our bucket so we got the chance to take part in an engineering challenge.  The children asked to make tallest structure out of just cups and popsicles sticks.
Your child came home with an award for their tower. Ask them about it!

Thank you so much for the awesome birthday celebration today! I am so lucky to have such an amazing class.  I was blown away by the thoughtful gift.  It was perfect! I can't wait to use it.  Thank you so much for making me feel so special!
Congratulate your child! We filled our jar! The class chose to wear their pjs and bring a stuffed animal this Friday, February 23rd.  Please remind your child!

Please be looking for a email from me about what your child should be wearing for our play! Our play is next Thursday, March 1st.

Thanks!

Room 4! We are starting to learn about coins and their worth! There is much more educational "value" in using real coins rather than plastic.  If you can, please have your child donate 10 pennies, 5 nickels, 5 dimes, and 5 quarters for our exploration.  Anything is appreciated!
Thank you!
Miss Sears
