The following are open positions at MATES:
  • Library Specialist

    Meadows Arts and Technology Elementary School (MATES) seeks a part-time library specialist responsible for managing all school library functions by maintaining catalogs, lists, and records in the school’s centralized computerized library system; processing, circulation, and shelving books and various learning materials; stamping, labeling, mending, and cleaning library books and other learning resources; and performing regular inventories.  The library specialist is also responsible for weekly library instruction for all classes.


    Qualification Requirements:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to manipulate or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 


    •      High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required; experience working with children is desirable.
    •      Knowledge of the Dewey Decimal Classification System and standard library terminology, practices, procedures, and reference sources


    Work Year and Salary:

    •     190 days
    •     6 hour/day – 5 days/week
    •     Beginning pay $21.63/hour

  • Campus Supervisor

       MATES seeks a campus supervisor to maintain a safe playground and school environment for all students. Campus                           supervisors are responsible for monitoring students in the lunch area, playground area, and other areas of the

       school site to ensure that student behavior complies with the MATES school rules and Core Values.
