The third graders made it to America!
The Multiplication Sundae Party was a success! Thank you to everyone who brought supplies and helped out. It was a very fun last day before Spring Break!

The Wax Museum was a great success! The students did an amazing job presenting all of their famous people. Thank you for all of your support at home and for attending the big event!
We had fun making heart art in Room 9 today! Ask your child to tell you about the painting technique we used.
Yesterday, the students finished up their notecards for their Wax Museum speeches and even had some time to practice with their classmates! We are all getting very excited for the big day!
The Third Grade Velveteen Rabbit Tea was absolutely lovely! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible for our students. From the beautiful decorations, tasty food, photo booth fun, attentive servers, and live music, the morning could not have been more perfect. Have a wonderful Winter Break and Happy New Year!
We had a fun Thursday in Room 9! We attended the Senior Chorus school holiday concert. Room 9 was very well-represented up on that stage, and several of our third graders had speaking parts and solos. Everyone did a great job, and the chorus sounded wonderful! Later in the day, the students enjoyed a Badger Claws escape room-style challenge. They had to solve a series of puzzles to "escape" and find the surprise that Badger Claws had hidden. The surprise was Chumash games that the students got to play!
During our past two art specialist sessions, the students have been working on making Chumash bowls using paper plates. The first step was to paint their plates, and today they weaved them into bowls. They turned out so well!
Team Orange did an awesome job in the Fun Run! Way to go, Room 9! Thank you to all of the parents who showed up today to cheer us on. Thank you also to everyone who donated money to help support all of the amazing programs at our school. Click on the link to check out all of the photos from the Fun Run!
We had such a wonderful time at the Chumash Indian Museum! The students hiked to the village, explored the museum exhibits, made an abalone shell necklace, and learned many interesting facts about the Chumash. Click on the link to see all of the photos from the trip!
We enjoyed another afternoon of art with our art specialist!
