Ms. Kristi Klingerman‘s Blog

Kristi Klingerman graduated from California State University, Chico with a BA in Journalism and Public Relations. After that, she continued her education and earned her Teaching Credential from Cal State Northridge. Upon completion of her credential, Kristi spent the next 11 years teaching grades 2 through 5 for the Hueneme School District. In 2005, she earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from CSUN.

In between her teaching career, Kristi took a few years off from teaching to have her children and be a stay at home mom. She has two boys; Jacob and Lucas. In her free time, Kristi enjoys reading, playing wii with her children, and enjoying the sun. Ms. Klingerman is thrilled to be a part of the MATES staff and looks forward to another great year!

Our Valentine's Day Celebration

This was such an excellent way to celebrate our friendships and the end of our Biography unit! These 3rd graders are such a fun and hard-working group! They deserve to have the next 4 days off of school! Happy President's Weekend!

Wax Museum 2020

I am incredibly proud of the hard work these 3rd graders put into writing their Biography Reports and their Wax Museum Speeches! Each student showed so much effort in their costume and overall preparation of their speech. The kids looked amazing! Thank you parents, for your help with this project at home. What a wonderful day it was!

Chumash Field Trip 2019

We had such a fun day learning about the Chumash Native Americans on our field trip today. We explored the museum artifacts, made abalone shell necklaces, and hiked to the Chumash Village. Despite the cold, windy morning, we had a great time! A special thank you to our wonderful parents for driving us today!
Back to School Night is Tonight (Thursday, Sept. 5th)!
Parents, please come to Room 16 from 6:00-7:00 tonight to learn all about your child's 3rd grade year! 
At 7:00, there will be an informational meeting in the MPR with Mrs. Olshever and Mrs. Walker. 
From 7:30-8:30, Kinder-2nd grade classrooms will be open for their presentations.
