friends when I came to me in second grade middle school seem like a big far away place science now that are tivities and friends have prepared us we are ready for our next adventure in Middle School some of the activities I've enjoyed at mates include the Ellis Island simulation buildings that was dancing earthquake and hats in the paper round that represents friendship  in the Ellis Island simulation Syrian puppy immigrants how to make it to America learns that immigrants work hard and they make sacrifices or Ellis Island simulation taught me to appreciate the contributions the immigrants make to our country another activity taught us a valuable lesson was constructing was constructing a building made of marshmallows and Pakistan earthquake without much planning or communication are roof jump right in each person started building separately soon building with a big sticky pile of marshmallows who that easily collapse with gentle shake this activity taught us that success requires teamwork and communication this winter we learned another valuable lesson with a simple piece of paper missing piece of paper around the classroom kids playing at the paper had recently I've been thinking about what leadership is and when I was trying to think about who was the best example of a meter miss winter immediately came to my mind which winter is a good leader are teachers in our friends have given us the ability to move forward toward middle school I will probably cry many more time is everything about leaving our classrooms are staged our playgrounds and a very sad about leaving but excited to see what middle school has in-store for me  activities Specialists field trips and musicals are free of my personal favorites to start the Specialists or highlight of Everyday Music is missing Terraria is one of my favorites because we get to play instruments and contemporary songs he is always happy and always have even if you having a bad day he is a literal meaning of turn that frown upside down are so special and she's always there to help me with a project I missed or don't understand and computers with misses me so we learn new games we want to play mrs. fish is a fellow lover of Harry Potter so we share a bond that is very special  field trips are days we look forward to in fourth grade Sacramento was a favorite especially when you pan for gold of the Blue Dolphins trip was awesome as well I certainly love the Second Great Ocean why don't you hold a wild moon jellyfish which I was learning about are almost front Wing quality reason my family came here in the first place was talking to mr. Taylor is the greatest first grade teacher you could possibly have he is the first whisper never raises his voice to make anything fun little Shepherd in the best principal ever she runs our school well always has a smile on her face and she comes into the classrooms to say hello often she is teaching us to be kind and caring well stay true to yourself if you can get any more meaningful you haven't considered the friendships friends I've made are so special to me for many reasons the games you play at recess singing and laughing together something I look forward to every day how many Clues looking for ladybugs or roly polies practicing for the upcoming show or Aid who's singing at the top of our lungs while walking on the track we especially traffic Hamilton  is always a favorite pastime as well at lunch all we do is laugh and why I laughed so hard I started having who sings it some jokes even if they're bad thank you my friends for always being there to stings you the good by and I can hardly believe that we are already here to celebrate the culmination of these sending 5th graders it seems like only yesterday that I was welcoming their cheerful faces into my classroom for the first time it's been a year of hard work and dressed along with an abundant amount of laughter and what I like to call Joyful Noise it is hard to describe this class and Sophie were are they are such a special Bunch so this year I decided to give the test to them and I asked them what were they with used to describe our year together the answers vary from fulfilling to totally tubular to Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious inner will and any organized chaos in room 11 was always a strong will to learn and desire to succeed students high standards for themselves and work diligently to meet those high expectations together we worked hand-in-hand to tackle some of the toughest Corinthia face far and I'm so proud of all the damn work and all the damage sheaves if I describe are together in one word however I would simply pick fun we sang dance Charles and more there were several occasions that I wished I had a hidden camera in my classroom or GoPro on my head to capture all the funny and witty things and have said and done I cannot thank them enough for making each and every day complete entertaining  it was through the magical balance of okay and fun that you see the kids before you blossomed into middle schoolers when we were not swimming through the standards of Common Core math literature or writing free cat busy with more creative explorations of study the students spent hours creating artistic representation science curriculum to scrapbook I dug deep into the study of the human body when they put on a fantastic rendition of Name That internal organ I quickly discovered that our students in his garage glass are natural performers their creativity humor and bubbling personalities added a personal touch to this performance and it was truly a pleasure to such an outgoing group of organs this year was complete with one last mates overnight field trip to Riley's Farm although the sleeping quarters and the night was rather sleep with the students and I love traveling back in history and experiencing what it was like for American colonists during their fight for independence as they marched out the hills and Fire fake rifles misstep in tonight if you're the students were sounding calls for Liberty Echo throughout the side the part of the trip however was here these students give toast in recognition of each other and their time spent here as me count the students did to raise their glasses the friendships they've made and experiences that they've loved at this school and it was in the candlelight of that Tavern that I realized that these students will miss this school smash at this school will miss them the end of the year brings mixed emotions of Pride and sadness as I send these great kid off the next chapter of their educational career call me while embarked on his next step  I hope you remember these three things first always let your action show your best self remember the things that you do so choose your actions wisely Legend Award of your hard work and the pride you feel in your accomplishments or only continue to grow as you continue in school finally to reference just what is a valuable lesson to be learned from they have on others I know you have all had a wonderful influence on me is truly been a privilege to work these fantastic fifth graders I look forward to seeing all of you achieve in the coming years good luck and have fun in as your unique and busy 5th grade year comes to close your Elementary School Journeys and they and each of you are about to embark on a new also known as Middle School this busy and creative this year we have a saying that we work hard academically we strove to get an all are essential common core standards and to grow as writers mathematicians and scientists  occasion make me dinner work the old-fashioned way with paper and pencil but often though we approached our work in Creative artistic and technological ways we put our add iPods Peter cart and Smartboard to work  giving us our knowledge 21st century style in the manner that the phone resumes must have imagined including friendship family bonds differences love being true to who you really are fighting for what you believe in and of course acceptance menu important themes carried over into our social studies curriculum and that along with our exciting adventure and Constitution movie how does to ended our meeting the powerful and inspiring novel Wonder where we saw the importance of acceptance and empathy for the eyes of Middle School where else but room 12 could we spoof ourselves delvin's the early history of America build a city from the ground up and discuss important issues on Queen Challenger imaginations and ourselves while sharing a many many laughs and a lot of Joy along the way
