Welcome to Kindergarten!
For many of you this might be your first experience as a Kindergarten parent or it might be your fifth. Either way, I am excited to take this journey with your family as your child’s first teacher at MATES.
I grew up here in Thousand Oaks and was lucky enough to student teach at MATES back in 2010 while earning my credential from California State University, Channel Islands. I also have my Masters Degree in Teaching from Grand Canyon University. I have been teaching Kindergarten since 2013. While I was student teaching here I knew this was a very special school. The relationships that form here between students, parents and staff are unlike any other. MATES is the best!
My husband and I have a three daughters: Katherine, Michaela and Natalie. When I’m not at school (ha!) I enjoy being with my family, crafting, spending time outdoors, and soaking up being a mama. I’m truly discovering first hand how fast kids develop and I look forward to partnering with you this school year as we watch these kiddos blossom!
