Gurminder Turner earned a bachelors degree in sociology from UC Santa Barbara and then went on to pursue a multiple subject teaching credential from Cal State Northridge. In addition, she earned a masters degree in curriculum and instruction with an emphasis on classroom management at the American College of Education. Gurminder has over fifteen years of teaching experience in both public and charter schools, including working as a Reading Development teacher for grades K-6 in the Simi Valley Unified School District. In addition to teaching, Gurminder enjoys doing yoga, traveling, and spending as much time as she can with her family, especially her adorable nieces and nephews! She is thrilled to be part of MATES!
