Must possess a valid CA teaching credential or 30 day substitute permit.
Must be fingerprinted by Ventura County Office of Education, and have a current TB skin test clearance within the last four years.

Supervise and mentor students before and after school and at recesses. Monitor students in the lunch area, playground area, restrooms, and other areas of the school site. Assure that student behavior complies with the MATES school rules and Core Values. Assist in resolving minor student conflicts on the playground. Communicate unauthorized activities and unauthorized visitors to appropriate personnel. Other duties as assigned.
Must have knowledge of principles and practices of monitoring student behavior, oral and written communication skills, school rules and the MATES Core Values. Must have good interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
Food Service Supervisor
MATES seeks a Food Service Supervisor to work under the direction of the school administration to manage the ordering, delivery, and bookkeeping of daily lunches. Responsibilities include
Collecting daily lunch orders to determine the number of lunches and supplies needed for serving daily lunch meals.
Receive, check, count, and record daily meal deliveries
Prepare serving areas by setting out food items, condiments, and utensils
Serve students by ensuring students receive all the components of a reimbursable lunch
Manage and operate computerized point of sale system including crediting and debiting meal payments to student accounts during meal serving periods, accepting both check and cash payments.
Perform account management before and after service periods, such as creating new and updating information in student accounts
Utilize system’s reporting features to prepare reports on student transaction history.
Prepare bank deposit slips.
Maintain cafeteria and kitchen facilities and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition, including cleaning serving counters, tables, chairs and serving equipment.
Provide oversight and direct volunteers assigned to assist in set up, distribution, or cleaning activities.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
