Laura Kiszczak graduated from California Lutheran University with a B.A. in Communications, a minor in French, and a Masters in Education.  She has taught grades preschool through 8th grade for over 20 years. She is married to Erik Kiszczak, that she met in college.  He was on the baseball team and she was on the soccer team at CLU.  Together, they have twin boys and a daughter. All three of their children attended MATES. She feels so fortunate that her children were given such an amazing elementary school experience with enriching curriculum.   When her daughter was about to start 4th grade, her daughter had an opportunity to pursue her gymnastics goals which included hours in the gym during school hours.  They had to make the decision to homeschool.  They were very sad to have to leave MATES, and only wished that they could have had this Personalized Learning Program for her then.   Mrs. Kiszczak has a big sports family.  When they are not watching or playing sports, they enjoy to entertain their family and friends at their home. With her experiences in teaching, love for MATES, and being a homeschool mom, Mrs. Kiszczak is so excited to be the supervising teacher for the Personalized Learning Program.
