Hi!  My name is Debbie Levitt and I am the PE Specialist here at Mates!  I am a Spark STAR PE Teacher and have many years of experience teaching PE at Mates, Meadows, and the CVUSD.  I have also coached many Sport Teams in our Community. 

 Physical Education at Mates involves 3 things….

1. Active Participation
2. Good Effort
3. Good Sportsmanship

Mates PE follows the California State Standards and Healthy Fitness Benchmarks.

I achieve these standards by teaching skills and playing fun games with positive reinforcement.  PE class consists of warm up exercises, a running lap, a skill lesson, and a fun game.

Some of the Units and Games we play are: Jump Rope; Four square; Switch; Sharks and Minnows; Hunters and Rabbits; Soccer; Football; Basketball; Knockout; Kickball; Tennis Baseball; and GAGA Ball.

All students are expected to participate unless excused by a Medical Note.  

I love teaching PE and I look forward to fun and exciting year!
